June 20- Slide Program on Carsonia Park at Berks History Center, Centre Avenue in Reading at 6 pm, followed by a book signing. Neversink and Pendora books also available there. There will be a small charge for the program.
June 24- I will have a table at the Street Fair on Friedensburg Road in Stony Creek from 11 am to 4 pm, with all three of my books available for sale and signing, along with an assortment of old Reading and Berks area postcards.
July 1- I will have a tent at the Antietam Farmers Market from 8 am till noon with all three books available for sale and signing, and postcards. Other dates for the Farmers Market include July 22, August 12, August 26, September 2, September 16
July 13- I will be presented a slide program on Pendora park from 7 to 8 pm at the new Berks Nature facility at Angelica Park. This slide program will be followed on Saturday, July 29 with a hike in the Pendora Park area, including Mineral Spring Park and Egelman's. Everyone is welcome at both events, though there may be a small charge for Berks Nature non-members.
September 20- I will do a slide program on the History of Postcards at 7 pm at the Fleetwood Historical Society meeting in the Library Building on Arch Street. All are welcome, no charge.
The author does Illustrated presentations about Neversink Mountain, Pendora Park, Carsonia Park and The History of Postcards, for various social groups and meetings in the Berks County area. These programs are available for groups of 10 or more. The speaker fee is $50, and copies of "Neversink- Reading's Other Mountain", "Pendora- Forgotten Trolley Park of Reading", and "Carsonia Park- Midway of Memories" are available for sale after the presentation. The Neversink book and the Pendora Park book are 15 dollars each, and the Carsonia Park book is $20. Books can be signed at that time.
